Eloísa was born in Santarém, in the southern regions of Portugal, where she grew up in a home where music was always present. Her first musical experiences occur between her house and Almerim’s glee club.
In 2005, when she moves to Lisbon, she starts to attend fado houses and, although by then she already had acquired various musical influences, it is in fado she discovers her first musical expression. Singing fado allows her to occasionally participate in several projects such as the Freimatic Twins, in the album “CLICK!” (2009) and Lights On(e), in the album “You Are Light” (2012).
2011 is the year of change, when she joins the afrobeat project “Underground Spiritual Band” with whom she attends events such as Boom Festival and performs as opening act for ska legends “Ska Talites”. She participates in record “São Bassáridas” form Portuguese folk project Capagrilos along with Fabíola Augusta, with whom she starts to build a series of performances focusing on the exploration of the vocal tract and its interaction with improvised music. In 2011 she also joins Addūcantur as singer and lyricist.
